Here we are in the home of newly found 3rd cousin Billy Souter, found through old letters written by his mother in the 30's and 40's to our great grand-uncle James McFarlane ("Gentry Jim") and to Carolyn's father Samuel McFarlane, Jr. by Jean Jack (Taylor) Souter. Billy Souter, Jean's son, was in possession of his mother's address book from the 1950s (see photo of the page). Our McFarlane grand parents, Sam McFarlane, (Jr.) "743 Washington St. Louise, Sam, Carolyn, Elizabeth" and "Ruth 2 boys & a girl" are in it in Jean's handwriting. Ruthie hadn't been born yet.
Left to right: Chere, Billy, Linda, Carolyn, Anne, Annie and Ailsa (Souter) Nicol, (Billy's daughter and granddaughter).
